The cultivation of perennial crops in marginal land as a feedstock for renewable energy or bio-based products constitutes promising alternative to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions since they can be produced without competition issues and with potentially significant amounts belowground C storing. objective this study was assess soil storage capacity switchgrass on (poor limited rooting depth hilly area) through spatialized analysis derived from several samples. A increase SOC observed after 13 years. In general terms, increased by 12 Mg ha?1. estimated switchgrass-derived 12.7 (±5.3) positive correlation between the gain. along field, however, patchy, highest increments registered center while lowest ones top bottom hill. Soil N stocks have also storage, although no direct relationship observed. Therefore, it could stated that growing valuable option risk agricultural abandonment storing amount C.
